Bruce E. Wolfe, CFA, serves as Senior Vice President, Wealth Solutions at Alight, where he leads the company’s retirement, workplace wealth, financial wellbeing and related growth strategies. In this role, Bruce helps employers deliver more integrated and personalized financial experiences for their people across the entire employee lifecycle.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Bruce has built and scaled retirement and asset management businesses as a senior executive across some of the industry’s leading organizations. Most recently, he served in senior leadership roles reporting to the firm’s Global CEO at Insight Investment (a BNY affiliate) and leading the development and launch of the firm’s first U.S. retail retirement income platform. Earlier, Bruce served as a Managing Director at BlackRock, where he was initially COO of the firm’s $500 billion AUM U.S. and Canada Defined Contribution business and later Founder of the BlackRock Retirement Institute. Prior to BlackRock, Bruce was a and as Managing Director at Allianz Global Investors, reporting to the Global CEO and COO, where he led enterprise-wide business and retirement initiatives across a $2 trillion AUM global organization.
Throughout his career, Bruce has helped pioneer several important retirement industry innovations, including co-founding the first global Behavioral Finance Center and building a retirement income and decumulation platform that brings together investment annuities and technology for the individual investor.
Earlier in his career, he crafted the strategic rationale for Morgan Stanley’s global expansion into retail asset management, culminating in the firm’s acquisition of Van Kampen Investments.
Bruce has held numerous leadership positions across the industry and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Retirement Management Journal. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a graduate of Columbia Business School’s Corporate Governance Executive Program.
A frequent conference speaker and contributor to The Wall Street Journal, Bruce has written extensively on retirement innovation, workplace wealth, financial wellbeing, retirement income and the future of retirement.
Bruce holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
