With employees located across nearly every state and Puerto Rico, Alight Solutions believes that encouraging more people to vote increases civic engagement and strengthens our democratic institutions. To advance this mission, Alight has joined Time to Vote, a nonpartisan, business-led initiative to help ensure employees across America don't have to choose between voting and earning a paycheck.
To ensure work schedules do not get in the way of voting, Alight colleagues in the U.S. are provided with paid time off to cast their ballots. Colleagues are also provided with access to information on voter registration, polling places, early voting, vote-by-mail and absentee voting.
“At Alight, we support the communities in which we work and live and civic engagement is one of the fundamental ways in which our colleagues and our company can demonstrate that support,” said Stephan Scholl, CEO at Alight. “Helping to remove barriers to participation—whether that’s work schedules or access to voter information—is an important way that we can encourage our colleagues to be active participants in democracy.”
