Alight selected as a Top 10 Emerging Icon, celebrating commitment to advancing gender inclusion in the workplace
Alight, Inc. (NYSE: ALIT), a leading cloud-based human capital and technology-enabled services provider, has been listed as one of the top 10 emerging icons in Avtar and Seramount’s list of the 2025 Best Companies for Women in India. This award celebrates the organisations across India that foster a culture of support and inclusion for women in the workforce.

Alight was recognized for the comprehensive programs in place to support women during and after maternity leave. Across India, women may face hurdles when returning to work after maternity leave, which can lead to increased rates of attrition. Alight implements several initiatives across the organisation for women to thrive when returning to work after leave, including:
- A hybrid return-to-work program that gives mothers flexibility with their in-office presence over the course of weeks, allowing them to manage caregiving responsibilities and work at a pace that's right for them.
- Parenting resources and care circles, a peer-based support group that offers practical guidance and emotional support to help ease the challenges of returning to work.
“Alight’s flexible, hybrid return-to-work program across India offices is designed to create a softer landing and a more human-centered path back to work,” said Xan Daniels, Vice President, Inclusion and Diversity at Alight. “Through this program, women who may have otherwise left the workforce permanently are given the support they need to succeed.”
The top 10 list of emerging icons were chosen from 62 companies across India. The application consisted of an in-depth data-driven study of a given organisation’s practices, programs and policies in place to promote inclusion.
