These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access and use of this website or the website from which these Terms were linked (the “Website”), managed, and operated by Alight Solutions LLC, a limited liability company whose head office address is 4 Overlook Point Lincolnshire, IL 60069, and/or one of its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “Alight”, “we”, “us”, and “our”).   Please read these Terms carefully and fully each time you access or use our Website as these Terms periodically may change and may be revised at any time and from time to time in our sole discretion by updating this link.  Certain provisions of these Terms may be superseded by legal notices or terms located on particular pages of the Website.  By accessing or using our Website, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms, accept and agree to be bound by the same, and accept and agree to abide by all laws and regulations applicable to the subject matter of these Terms.

Usage and Termination

By using our Website, you represent and agree that you are at least 18 years of age or older and are fully able and competent to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of 18, you are not permitted to use our Website.  You agree to use the Website for lawful purposes and that you are responsible for your use of and communications on the Website. You specifically agree not to:  

  • engage in any behavior through this Website that violates any applicable federal, state, local or international law or regulation (including, without limitation, any laws regarding the export of data or software to and from other countries), including but not limited to transmitting any unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, indecent, threatening, offensive or otherwise objectionable material of any kind including any material that encourages illegal conduct or conduct that would encourage civil liability, infringe on other's intellectual property rights or otherwise violates any applicable local, state, national or international law;

The failure of Alight to enforce your strict performance of any term of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such term and will not be considered a waiver or limit Alight´s right thereafter to insist upon strict adherence to that term or any other term of these Terms. You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising from or relating to the use of the Websites, Applications, or Solutions must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or such claim or cause of action will be permanently barred.

Alight, including all of its subsidiaries and affiliates, maintains relationships with clients and business partners around the world. Alight also files necessary disclosures with all governmental regulators.

Fee/Commission Disclosure

In some countries, subsidiaries of Alight may provide retail, wholesale and reinsurance brokerage, risk management, underwriting management, captive management and benefits consulting, and those subsidiaries may receive remuneration as commissions or fees paid by an insurer; fees paid by a client in lieu of, or in addition to, commissions; and investment income on premiums, claim payments and return premiums temporarily held as fiduciary funds. In certain circumstances, one or more of these affiliates may also receive compensation in the following forms: commissions or fees paid to reinsurance brokerage or captive management companies for placement or management of reinsurance of a client’s risk; commissions or fees paid to a wholesale broker to which a risk has been referred for placement; commissions or fees paid for premium financing; and compensation paid by underwriters for the performance of technical or other services.

Some software from this Website may be subject to export controls imposed by the United States of America and may not be downloaded or otherwise exported or reexported: (a) into (or to a national resident of) any country to which the U. Severability

To the extent any portion of these Terms may be deemed unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder of the Terms shall remain in effect.

Governing Law/Forum

Alight maintains this Website in Illinois, USA, and you agree that these terms of use and any legal action or proceeding relating to this site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without reference to its choice of law rules.  By using this Website, you agree that any legal proceedings related to this Website or these Terms must be the courts in Cook County, Illinois, USA which have exclusive jurisdiction.

Miscellaneous

You may not assign these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Subject to that restriction, these Terms will be binding on, inure to the benefit of and be enforceable against the parties and their respective successors and assigns.

We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently modify or discontinue this Website or any portion of it. For instance, we may need to do this for maintenance work, when we update this Website or for security reasons.
