Alight, Inc. (NYSE: ALIT), a leading cloud-based human capital and technology-enabled services provider, announced its continued participation as a presenting sponsor in the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City's (NAMI-NYC) Workplace Mental Health Collaborative for 2025.
NAMI-NYC is New York City’s leading mental health organization and one of the largest NAMI affiliates, dedicated to enhancing the lives of people affected by mental illness and their families. The Workplace Mental Health Collaborative, now in its fourth year, serves as a platform connecting and supporting employers committed to promoting mental health among their employees.
The collaborative is structured around two main components: steering committee meetings and a training series. Last year, Alight's support was influential in the success of NAMI’s "Beyond Burnout" workplace training program. The program reached thousands of employees, achieving a 97% satisfaction rate, with 96% of respondents saying they would recommend the program to others. In addition, NAMI provided HR and benefits leaders with essential resources and facilitated conversations on critical topics such as effective mental health communication strategies, measuring the impact of mental health initiatives and more.
"We are deeply grateful to Alight for their continued support of the NAMI-NYC Workplace Mental Health Collaborative,” said Maggie Mortali, CEO of NAMI-NYC. “Thanks to partners like Alight, we can truly reduce stigma, invest in employee wellness, and transform workplace culture. With Alight serving as a lead sponsor of this Collaborative, we’ve been able to expand our reach across industries, introduce impactful peer-led presentations, and build a one-of-a-kind community.”
Building on last year’s achievements, Alight’s sponsorship this year will introduce peer presentations and sessions led by individuals with lived experience of mental illness or serving as a caregiver of someone experiencing a mental health issue. This expansion aims to enrich the collaborative’s offerings and extend its reach.
“Investing in employee mental health benefits helps both companies and their people. By implementing comprehensive initiatives, providing resources and promoting mental health awareness, employers can foster a happier, healthier and more productive workplace,” said Xan Daniels, Vice President of Inclusion and Diversity at Alight. “Alight's continued support of NAMI-NYC's Workplace Mental Health Collaborative as a presenting sponsor underscores our commitment to cultivating a culture of wellbeing that extends beyond the workplace, establishing models for corporate responsibility in mental health.”
In addition to Alight serving as a presenting sponsor for NAMI-NYC’s Workplace Mental Health Collaborative, Alight’s Xan Daniels also serves as the Vice President on the board of directors for the NAMI Illinois chapter.
